One day, as the zombies bang on his door, ruining his ability to focus on playing, he decides to do something about it, storming out and slaughtering the zombies. When he comes back, he decides that he's going to write his own, original song, to reflect how he's feeling. His updates become more sporadic, as his camera battery dies, but he makes progress, writing his song. Just as his song reaches a finished form, however, a string breaks. Max is heartbroken, but shakes it off, determined to find a new string in the wasteland. He leaves to find it and returns the next day, broken. He's been bit by a zombie, and couldn't get his door properly locked, so the zombies will be busting it down any minute. With little time left, and the zombies about to bust down the door, Max sits down, and with his restrung guitar, finally plays the song, as everything else fades away, just him and his music. As he finishes his song, he finds his peace, just as the camera finally dies.
